Kisakallio Sports Institute is a non-profit foundation, which offers a wide variety of sports, activities, educational possibilities and excellent facilities for professional and amateur sports enthusiasts. Kisakallio Sports Institute was founded in 1949 to be a Gymnastics institute for women of all ages.
Today Kisakallio Sports Institute is one of the biggest training and education centers in Finland and Europe with 700 beds and almost 15000 sqm of sport facilities.
Kisakallio Sports Institute offers top class training services in 6 different Olympic Sport with its partners; the Finnish Gymnastics Federation, the Finnish Basketball Association, Finnish Handball Association, The Finnish Volleyball Association and The Finnish Orienteering Federation.
In addition to these, Kisakallio also offers high quality facilities for Football, Floorball, Figure skating, Dancing and Taekwondo, just to mention a few.
TRAINING AND FACILITIES
We have excellent facilities for demanding training in both individual and team sports.
Our services are used annually by various federations, associations and clubs - as well as individual athletes and coaches of all ages. The variety of different sports we offer is a challenge for us - a challenge that we want to meet head on by offering nothing but the best to our customers and partners - never backing down from the common goal.
In our main sports, Kisakallio offers a superb training environment as well as the know-how of professional coaches and athlete-testing, available to all our customers from individuals to sport associations and federations.

NEAR THE METROPOLITAN AREA
In peaceful surroundings, close to the nature Kisakallio Sports Institute is located only 45 minutes from both Helsinki-Vantaa Airport and Helsinki Harbor.
Kisakallio is surrounded by 250 hectares of wild wood, an area called “Karnaistenkorpi”, which is nationally and internationally environmentally unique. Karnaisten Korpi is owned by the City of Lohja and the nature trails going through the entire area are maintained by Kisakallio Sports Institute. Also the biggest lake in Southern Finland, Lake Lohja, is just front of you.
So through the year, there are a number of nature trails and walks to follow with designated camping areas that protect the area’s outstanding beauty. In addition to fishing, the surrounding wilderness provides an opportunity to pick up wild berries and mushrooms.

SPECIALIST FOR THE SPORT CAMPS AND EVENTS
Kisakallio has organized many kinds of Pre Camps before Olympic Games and World Championships.
For example The Russian Olympic Team for mens volleyball was 5 weeks in Kisakallio before Beijing Olympic Tournament. Chinese women's ice hockey team was 5 weeks in Kisakallio before Vancouver Olympic Tournament. Also The Finnish Ice hockey Federation has organized a lot of camps for Woman’s Team and U18 and U16 Teams before theirs International tournaments.
Before Rio Olympics 2016 Finnish gymnast Katja Volkova lived 6 month in Kisakallio and also Taekvondo athlete Suvi Mikkonen camped her Olympic Camp at Kisakallio.
Kisakallio has also organized many different kinds of events and tournaments.
The European women Ice hockey Championship (EWCC by IIHF) Tournament 2008 and qualification 2011, Fin5 orienteering week 2011 was held in Kisakallio, Rhytmic gymnastics Nordic Championships 2014, Juniors U20 Nordic Championships for basketball in 2014 and the World Championships for Wheelchair Curling were played also in Kisakallio 2015. Year 2016 played also U16 and U18 Basketball Nordic Championships were in Kisakallio, just to mention a few.
