Kisakallio Sports Institute offers services for professional, competing and amateur sports enthusiasts. They include weekend courses as well as full time degree level education.
Kisakallio also runs numerous courses and camps throughout the year which serve all age groups from children to senior citizens. There are a huge variety of activities to choose from enabling people to experience sports and hobbies or just enjoy the beautiful scenery around the Institute.
Kisakallio offers companies an opportunity to organize activities and seminars in its peaceful environment. The Institute can provide an accommodation and catering for parties up to two hundred people. Recreational facilities are available for those who want to clear their minds after work.
During the spring and summer months there are a number of nature trails and walks to follow with designated camping areas that protect the areas outstanding beauty. As well as fishing, the surrounding wilderness provides opportunity to pick up wild berries and mushrooms.
Other lake centred activities are swimming, rowing and canoeing. Visitors can also try a traditional Finnish church boat. A large rowing boat takes in up to ten people and it is ideal for group trips around the lake. During wintertime outdoor activities are cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, walking and skating on the frozen lake. For those who are brave enough, there is a traditional sauna followed by a dip in the lake through the hole cut in the ice.
Kisakallio also offers a wide variety of sports and activities in its excellent indoor facilities. They include a dome for football and halls for volleyball, basketball, badminton, swimming, aerobics, gymnastics and fully equipped exercise gym to name a few. Kisakallion has also excellent facilities indoors for ice hockey, figure skate, ringette and curling.
Kisakallio is located one hour north west of Helsinki by the fresh water lake in the tranquil forest of Lohja region.
